5 Ways to Balance the Gym and Life

We all have busy schedules, and we all have 24 hours in a day. From working 8+ hours depending on your job, and then running around after the kids, meeting with friends, or even just trying to get dinner and meals prepped for the week; life can be crazy with only 24 hours.

You’re not an Instagram model that seems to have the “perfect life.” No, you are a real person who has real stresses and busy schedules, which can sometimes make it hard to balance the gym and a healthy lifestyle. However, there is a way to learn time management and there is a way to achieve the body you’ve always wanted and live the healthy lifestyle you’ve been wanting to live. Here are 5 tips you can do to achieve this and help you accomplish your goals.

1.Get a Calendar: If you don’t already have one, get one and schedule your workouts. You schedule things all day long at work, and if it’s written down you hold yourself more accountable.

2.Find your Motivation: Whether it be finding your favorite song that gets you motivated to workout, a picture of your goal body, or that shot of espresso; whatever it is, find it.

3.Get Help: If you are one of those people that needs the extra push and someone to yell at you to complete that extra rep, then a trainer is what you need. However, if you seriously can’t afford one then use social media to benefit you. You can find tons of meal ideas and workouts on YouTube or Instagram. Study and plan my friend.

4.Gym Buddy: If you can’t afford a trainer, and you don’t know if you’re doing that bicep curl correctly, then find a friend who is huge into training, and get them to whip you into shape. We learn by watching, and trying.

5.Team Sports: If you really aren’t a gym person, and prefer more of a competition or group training, consider joining a sport that interests you, or a boot camp class. If you already go to the gym but find yourself skipping or lacking motivation, then having a sport like soccer is good because you have practices and games you have to commit to. This is also a great way to change up your routine and challenge your body to use different muscle groups. Exercise that is fun and something that is different from your day to day routine.

Those are just 5 examples of things you can do to achieve your goals faster. There are so many things you can do everyday, even small things that will make a huge difference in the long run. Happy Training everyone!
