I'm a big fan of turning potentially negative words into positive ones.
Cheats Meals = Treat Meals & Dieting = Meal Plan. This really works for my brain so that I don't see the process of getting ready for a competition in a negative light.
This week I came up with some pretty interesting meals for 3 out of my 6 meals. I posted a picture on instagram this morning so I thought I would share the makeup of my meal plan this week.
Meal 2: Chicken & Asparagus - boring but easy! Chicken is broiled on high for 7 minutes each side and coated in a spicy Mrs. Dash mixture. I grill the asparagus in a frying pan with coconut oil and a pinch of sea salt and pepper.
Meal 3: Kale, Quinoa, Blueberry & Tuna Salad - I know you're thinking blueberries & tuna?? Sometimes you just need a little sweet to mask the taste of fish :)
Meal 4: Flank Steak & Mushroom Wrap (With Collard Greens) - I didn't have time for food prep Sunday night so I grilled my flank steak & mushrooms in a frying pan with coconut oil this morning while I was packing my 6 pack bag and gym bag. I threw in 2 huge collard green leafs to make wraps with so I'm really excited for this.
